The study adopted a qualitative methodology to explore the entrepreneurial prospects of animal breeding and genetics from the viewpoints of undergraduates at two Nigerian institutions. 30 undergraduate students from two universities were taken to represent the sample for the study. An open-ended survey created on Google form was used for the collection of data. The link of the Google form was sent to the students’ platform in the Department of Animal Genetics in the two selected universities. The findings demonstrated that Animal Breeding and Genetics undergraduate students perceive the potential for entrepreneurship in animal breeding and genetics to be numerous including setting up animal clinic, animal breeding laboratory, establishing a poultry business, setting up a consultancy outlet on animal breeding and genetics, among others. Majority of the undergraduate students indicate their intention to pursue entrepreneurship in animal breeding and genetics instead of looking for the white-collar jobs. Furthermore, the current curriculum in Animal Breeding and Genetics in the two universities are very relevant to the fields and the knowledge they have gathered so far is enough to succeed if taking into entrepreneurship after the completion of the bachelor’s degree programme. The challenges envisaged by the respondents include lack of initial capital to setting up entrepreneurship business in Animal Breeding and Genetics, cooperation, understanding and support from parents and family members, government policy including registration of the business, among others. Data and information gathered through the administration of the open-ended survey was analysed thematically following the objectives of the study. The study drew it conclusion based on the findings from the study and also makes appropriate and relevant recommendations.</p> 2024-01-26T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Adetunmbi Tella https://journal.unm.ac.id/index.php/IJOBER/article/view/1441 Factors Influencing the Entrepreneurial Interest of the Young Generation: An Empirical Review on Student Entrepreneurs 2024-01-26T00:35:55+08:00 Irwan Suryadi irwan.ryadi@stitmugu.ac.id Andika Isma andika.isma@unm.ac.id Salim Diarra diarrasalim48@gmail.com <p>In facing the era of global development and increasingly complex market demands, entrepreneurial interest among students is an important concern. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomonological approach, and uses data collection techniques by interviews, direct observation of the research object. Then this research used 3 informants as research subjects, where these informants were the 3 most famous traders and had the largest business turnover in Makassar City. The Interaction Analysis Model uses concepts from Miles and Huberman. The research results show that the entrepreneurial literacy and digital literacy of clothing traders in this modern era can be categorized as good enough to support the development of these clothing traders. This is because traders have an understanding of the business they are establishing, never neglect in carrying out their obligations and things that could disrupt the continuity of their business. Meanwhile, business continuity shows that the clothing merchant business can be categorized as quite good, because it can develop and run well in line with increasingly modern developments.</p> 2024-01-28T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Marnoto, Andi Syahriana Asdar, Andi Naila Quin Azisah Alisyahbana https://journal.unm.ac.id/index.php/IJOBER/article/view/1442 Study Internalization of Entrepreneurial Values in the Formation of Student Entrepreneurial Character through Scouting Activities 2024-01-26T00:51:32+08:00 Himawan Sutanto himawan.sutanto@unram.ac.id Rifki Suwaji rifki12@stieyapan.ac.id Fajriani Azis fajrianiazis@unm.ac.id <p>The purpose of this research is to understand how the Internalization of Entrepreneurial Values can shape Entrepreneurial Character through Student Scouting.
