Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to determine the form of directive speech acts behind the speech of autistic characters in Selenophile novels by Tisa TS and Agie Hatami. The data in this research is the dialogue of autistic characters in Selenophile novels, and the data source is Selenophile novels by Tisa TS and Agie Hatami. The data were collected using reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model which consists of several steps, namely: Data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study focus on directive speech acts seen from the aspect of form. Based on the speech of autistic characters, six forms of directive speech acts were found, namely orders, requests, invitations, advice, criticism and prohibitions.
