This study is an Experimental Research. The research design is One Group Pretest Posttest. The variables in the study are the show not tell technique and the writing ability of Rupama literature for 8th-grade students at SMPN 26 Makassar. The research sample consists of students from the 8th grade at SMPN 26 Makassar. The data collection technique used is the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest). The data analysis technique includes descriptive statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and graphs. The results of this research indicate that: the ability to write Rupama literature by students before using the show not tell technique is categorized as subpar, the ability to write Rupama literature by students after using the show not tell technique is categorized as sufficient, and the show not tell technique is not effective in improving the ability to write Rupama literature.</p> Muhammad Aris Wahyudi Hajrah Andi Fatimah Yunus Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Applied Linguistics and Literature 2024-06-25 2024-06-25 1 3 198 208 10.59562/jall.v1i3.1966 MITOS DALAM RITUAL SONGKABALA MASYARAKAT GALESONG KABUPATEN TAKALAR https://journal.unm.ac.id/index.php/JALL/article/view/1967 <p>He aim of this research is to describe the myths in the Songkabala ritual of the Galesong people of Takalar Regency. The results of this research show that in the songkabala ritual process of the Galesong community of Takalar Regency, it has (1) denotation meaning, namely Unti teknek/sweet banana, jepek/porridge, bente, dupa, tai bani/liling, songkolok, bayao/egg, tumpi-tumpi, jeknek Kaluku / Coconut water, Doek / Money. Meaning (2) connotation, namely Unti teknek/sweet banana means the path of life will be sweet, Jepek/porridge means life will be happy, Bente means having abundant fortune, Dupa, Tai bani/ Liling to illuminate people's lives, Songkolok, Bayao/ Eggs , Tumpi-tumpi, Jeknek kaluku / Coconut water, Doek / Money. The results showed that the analysis of the meaning of paruntuk kana in the Assongkabala procession in Galesong, Takalar Regency presented the symbolic meaning of: (1) Attunu incense (2) Esaki tamparang leklenga nampa antakle anyombalang (3) Apalele umbu (4) Songkolok asepunu lekleng sagang songkolok asepunu kebo (5)nataba karro (6) Kappara gallang (7) leko ri talang bulaeng (8) attongrang (9) Apparappo ri tamparanga (10) Tena na sambarang allo assongkabala allo jumapi (11) Babbaraki buttaya. The meaning contains turiolo advice that is useful for people who listen. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research instrument used is documentation research. The research results show that:&nbsp; HOTS form at analyzing level (C4) with indicators of distinguishing, organizing and attributing, HOTS question form at evaluating level (C5) with indicators examining and criticizing. The Relationship Between Types of Reading Materials and Reading Interest with Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes of Class XI Students of SMA Negeri 13 Tompobulu Maros Regency. The type of research used in this study is correlational using Total Sampling which takes the sample as a whole. Data collection techniques using Checklist questionnaire. In this research using ghaeryası techniques and document studies. The results of this research show that there is a representation of Makassar cultural values in the film Girl Bululoe, namely, pacce cultural values were found in 7 data in the film Girl Bululoe that pacce is a sense of empathy and caring for other humans and easy compassion for humans. Sipakatau cultural values were found in 4 data in the film Girl Bululoe is sipakatau wich means mutual respect, respect and treating all humans well regardless of social status. The cultural value of lambusuk was found in 2 data in the film Girl Bululoe, namely that lambusuk is an attitude of honesty towards oneself, honesty towards humans. Juur towards God Almighty. The cultural value off barani was found in 4 data in the film Girl Bululoe that barani are those who act bravely and heave grat courage. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative approach, the data source is Indonesian language teacher in SMP 1 Sungguminasa. The form of data in this study is the skill of providing reinforcement by Indonesian language teachers. The data collection technique in this research is oral technique. The results showed that the conventional learning model in the control class was in the less category with an average value of 57.65% which means that students are less able to stimulate students' speaking activeness. Furthermore, the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model in the experimental class is in the good category with an average value of 86.94% which means that students are able to improve their speaking skills well. This research is of a quantitative nature. Data collection in this research was carried out through testing techniques on the research sample. The overall data obtained were analyzed through several stages: 1) creating a raw score list, 2) creating a frequency distribution and raw score, 3) calculating the scores obtained by students, and 4) classifying students' skills based on the specified criteria. The research results indicate that students who scored 75-100 were 15 individuals (75%) out of 20 samples and have achieved the established criteria, which is 75% of the samples scoring 75-100. The method used is a survey method with data collection techniques using questionnaires. The accumulated results state that the indicator for using content is equivalent to terms on Instagram with a percentage result of 65.62%. In the indicator of absorption of the term followers with a percentage result of 75.69%. The impact of the use of term-equivalent content on Instagram @badanbahankemendikbud on followers' absorption of terms can be seen from the various comments given by followers regarding term-equivalent content, followers' understanding of equivalent terms from foreign languages is broader, apart from that, followers' insight and vocabulary are also increase. Type of descriptive qualitative research. Data in the form of written data from voice recordings. The data source is teacher and student speech.
