To address this problem, automatic watering tools are commonly adopted that utilize soil moisture sensors for efficient watering. However, challenges arise in dealing with diverse soil conditions across multiple planting media. In response to these challenges, the author proposed the design and development of a soil moisture-based watering device utilizing NodeMCU ESP32 as a microcontroller connected to six soil moisture sensors. This tool aims to provide a solution for watering six different soil media with varying conditions. The system incorporates six solenoid valves to control water channels, with a relay regulating the valve performance. The testing and implementation involve watering each soil medium when the sensor detects humidity levels exceeding 2047 bits. The preliminary tests demonstrated successful operation, particularly with solenoid valve 1 exhibiting consistent performance across ten trials, leading to positive outcomes for all six solenoid valves. Overall, the proposed tool proved effective in watering different soil media, with successful results in eight out of ten trials.
2024-03-18T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Embedded Systems, Security and Intelligent Systems https://journal.unm.ac.id/index.php/JESSI/article/view/1254 Implementation of Virtual Reality In Residential Interior Development Case Study: Bukit Baruga 2023-12-25T17:42:56+08:00 Syarief Dienan Yahya dienanyahya@gmail.com Fizar Syafaat fizar.inf@gmail.com Muhammad Syafaat syafaat@kallainstitute.ac.id
The implementation of Virtual Reality (VR) in housing interior development is the focus of this research, with a case study conducted in the residential area of "Bukit Baruga." Student enrollment is a crucial element in the growth of a college, particularly in the case of private institutions. When examining students' aspirations for higher education, several studies use data mining techniques to forecast the interests of students who will pursue college. Researchers adopt various ways to extract valuable information from data. Prior research has shown that the decision tree technique outperforms alternative methods. The random forest, in addition to the decision tree, is often used for predicting data mining tasks. Given the above background information, the author will conduct a study titled "Comparative Analysis of Decision Tree and Random Forest Algorithms in Predicting College Interests." According to the study findings, the decision tree outperforms the random forest in terms of outcomes. The accuracy of the decision tree model is 0.81, whereas the accuracy of the Random Forest model is 0.74. All in all, the Decision Tree approach will be used as the ultimate outcome for the implementation of Business Analytics.
2024-03-21T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Embedded Systems, Security and Intelligent Systems https://journal.unm.ac.id/index.php/JESSI/article/view/623 Classification of Bugis and Makassar Lontara Texts with Viterbi Algorithm 2023-11-14T21:22:52+08:00 Andi Hutami Endang hutamiendang@gmail.com Achmad Zulfajri Syaharuddin ajisan@kallainstitute.ac.id
The Bugis and Makassar ethnic groups are among those originating from South Sulawesi, characterized by the use of the Lontara Bugis and Makassar scripts. The data utilized in this research consists of image data as the initial input. Subsequently, preprocessing is conducted where the data is cropped to obtain 168x168 pixel dimensions for each word. The cropped images are then labeled. In this study, labeling involves the conversion of Lontara script into Latin words. The same procedure is applied to each letter. Next, the obtained words are categorized into two classes: Bugis language and Makassar language. The next stage is processing, where the Viterbi algorithm is employed to determine the priority within a sentence used in the training and testing processes. Python programming language is used in this research. The research utilizes image data processed in the aforementioned preprocessing stage. The data transformed from Lontara script into Latin words is used in the Viterbi process. The Viterbi algorithm tests the data from the inputted sentences. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the use of the Viterbi algorithm in classifying Bugis Makassar Lontara texts yields accurate probability results. However, there are some aspects to be considered.
