Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mempelajari apakah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning, minat belajar fisika kelas XI SMAN 8 Jeneponto meningkat. Subjek penelitiannya yaitu peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 8 Jeneponto yang berjumlah 27 orang. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan cara melakukan observasi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung serta pengisian lembar angket minat belajar fisika. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan melihat efektifitas peserta didik untuk data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa persentase rata-rata minat belajar peserta didik meningkat dimana persentase untuk siklus I sebesar 70.49% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 74.9%. Adapun jumlah peserta didik yang meningkat persentase minat belajarnya yaitu sebanyak 22 orang dari total 27 orang peserta didik atau sekitar 81,48% dari total keseluruhan.

This research is classroom action research that aims to learn wheter by using discovery learning models, interest in learning physics class XI of SMAN 8 Jeneponto increases. The research subjects were 27 students of class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 8 Jeneponto. The research data were obtained by observing during the learning process and filling out the questionnaire on the interest in learning physics. Data analysis technique used is to look at the effectiveness of students for qualitative data and quantitative data using descriptive analysis. Based on the results and discussion it can be concluded that the average percentage of student’s interest in learning increased where the percentage for the first cycle was 70.49% and in the second cycle increased to 74.9%. The number of students who increased the percentage of their interest in learning was as many as 22 students out of the total of 27 students or around 81.48% of the 27 students. This also success the indicators of research achievement, which is at least 75% of 27 students
