PENGARUH METODE COLD WATER IMMERSION (CRYOTHERAPY) TERHADAP PENURUNAN DENYUT NADI CABANG OLAHRAGA DAYUNG MAKASSAR
Abstrak
Sport is an individual or group physical activity, carried out systematically, rhythmically and repeatedly, that aids in the development or development of physical and mental potential. Exercise is one type of physical activity that is important for maintaining health. A decrease in pulse rate during exercise is an indication of increased physical fitness and the body's adaptation to regular physical
exercise. The research method in this study uses a quantitative method. The quantitative research method is to determine the influence of independent variables (treatment) on dependent variables (outcomes) under controlled conditions, interpreted and reported in accordance with important facts related to certain aspects. This method is used by researchers to find out how much the therapeutic effect of cryotherapy application is. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it was found that there was a significant difference between the pulse rate before and after the application of the cold water immersion method. The Paired Samples Test showed a mean difference of 107,267 with a standard deviation of 5,189 and a standard error mean of 1,340. The 95%
confidence interval of this difference is in the range of 104,393 to 110,140. The t-value obtained was 80.065 with degrees of freedom (df) of 14, and the significance value (p-value) for both One-Sided and Two-Sided was 0.001 indicating that this result did not occur by chance. From these results, it can be concluded that the cold water immersion method has a very significant influence on the
decrease in the pulse rate of Makassar rowing athletes
