Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of principal human resource management in improving the quality of education at UPT SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. Meanwhile, data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study are the Principal, Vice Principal and teachers. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that human resource management implemented by the principal at UPT SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai plays a strategic role in improving the quality of education. The planning process begins with an analysis of the needs of educators and the development of a comprehensive HR strategy. Organizing is carried out through a proportional division of tasks and financial management that supports educational programs. The implementation of the work program follows the academic calendar with selective recruitment and orientation of new educators. The development of teacher professionalism is facilitated through seminars, trainings, and workshops to improve pedagogical competence. HR management evaluation identifies factors that support and inhibit the achievement of educational goals, which have a positive impact on improving teacher performance and learning innovation. Overall, the effectiveness of continuous planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation is the key to success in improving the quality of education in this school
