THE RELATIONSHIP OF VO2 MAX AND RUNNING SPEED BASED ON POSITION IN FUTSAL ATHLET IN COLLAGE STUDENT PAPUA CITY OF MAKASSAR

This study aims to determine the Differences in VO2max and Running Speed Based on the Position of Papuan Student Futsal Athletes in Makassar. This study is a type of comparative descriptive research, namely looking at the category of physical abilities of futsal athletes and observing the influence of these physical components on basic service techniques in futsal. The method in this study uses survey and test methods. The sample in this study was Papuan Students in Makassar, with a total of 37 students. The research instruments used were multi-stage running test (bleep test) and 30-meter running test. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test using one way anova using SPSS. The results showed that the better VO2 Max level was Futsal Athletes who were in the pivot position with very good and good categories then the flank position with very good and less categories, the anchor position with sufficient and less categories and the goalkeeper position with less and very less categories. The results of the descriptive analysis on the level of running speed of Papuan student futsal athletes in Makassar had a very good category. The results of the one way anova hypothesis test showed that there was a significant difference between the VO2 Max level and running speed based on the position of Papuan student futsal athletes in Makassar so that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.
