Publication Ethics Guidelines for PJJ Journal

1. Editorial Board Responsibilities:
- Fair Review Process: Ensure all submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on their intellectual content without regard to authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, etc.
- Confidentiality: Editors and reviewers must keep all information about submitted manuscripts confidential.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors should disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where they have such conflicts.

2. Author Responsibilities:
- Originality: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
- Plagiarism and Attribution: Properly cite or quote the work and/or words of others, and avoid plagiarism in all forms.
- Data Access and Retention: Authors should provide raw data for editorial review and be prepared to provide public access to such data if possible.

3. Reviewer Responsibilities:
- Objectivity: Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Confidentiality: Reviewers should not disclose any information about a manuscript they review to anyone without permission from the editors.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should declare any conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

4. Publishing Ethics Issues:
- Misconduct: Editors should handle cases of research and publication misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, fraudulent data) following COPE guidelines.
- Corrections and Retractions: Promptly publish corrections, clarifications, and retractions when needed.

5. Transparency and Open Access:
- Open Access Policy: Support the principle of open access to scholarly research, ensuring that research results are freely accessible to the public.
- Publication Fees: Clearly state any fees or charges associated with manuscript submission, processing, or publication.
