Abstract

Darul Istiqomah Makassar, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is a written test. The collected data will be identified, classified, explained, and corrected to identify the errors made by students in writing vocabulary. The results of data analysis show that there are a total of 185 errors in writing mufrodat, which are divided into three main types of errors. Harakat placement errors are the most common type of error, with 98 errors accounting for 52.97%. Furthermore, there are 48 errors in writing hijaiyyah letters, accounting for 25.94%, and 39 errors in letter connection, accounting for 21.08%. This study provides a clear overview of the common errors in writing vocabulary by students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Istiqomah Makassar. These results can serve as a basis for teachers to design more effective learning programs to improve students' ability in writing mufrodat accurately and precisely.
