The Effectiveness of Arado Card Game Media (Arabic Domino) in Mastering Arabic Vocabulary for Madrasah Tsanawiyah Students

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of the Arado (Arabic Domino) card game media in enhancing Arabic vocabulary mastery among 8th-grade students at Muhammadiyah Branch Mamajang, Makassar City. Using total sampling, 46 students from two classes were selected as research samples, with class VIII B as the experimental group and class VIII A as the control group. Data were obtained through pre-test and post-test written assessments on the topic of "Sports." The average post-test score of the experimental group (81.56) was significantly higher than that of the control group (64.69), with a difference of 16.87. The hypothesis testing results showed significance (Asymp.Sig. = 0.002 ˂ 0.05), indicating the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Arado card game media is effective in enhancing Arabic vocabulary mastery among 8th-grade students at Muhammadiyah Branch Mamajang, Makassar City.
