Abstract

The population in this study was the twelfth-grade students of the Tahfidzul Qur’an Wahdah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar, totaling 18 students, with the entire population being the sample, making it a population study with a total sampling technique. Data were obtained by administering tests to the students, including a Quran memorization test and an Arabic speaking skills test. The data analysis technique used was the Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, consulted using a significance level of 5%, with the result of t-value 3.504 > t-table 1.745 and a correlation coefficient of 0.658. The results of this study indicate that there is a strong positive correlation between Quran memorization skills and Arabic speaking skills among twelfth-grade students at the Tahfidzul Qur’an Wahdah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between Quran memorization skills and speaking skills among students at the Tahfidzul Qur’an Wahdah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar.
