Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal Studies in Indonesian Language and Literature will go through two review processes. Manuscripts will first be screened by the editors to ensure that the submission guidelines have been met. If the manuscript passes the first review process, it will be submitted to the reviewers, while unsuccessful manuscripts will be returned to the author.

Each article is reviewed by two independent reviewers through a blind review process. Reviewers will evaluate the substance of the manuscript, including the originality of the research, novelty, methodology, and contribution to science. The reviewers are responsible for making a decision on the status of the article based on the evaluation results. If the reviewers disagree with each other, the editor will request the opinion of a third reviewer. The review results will be sent back by the editor to the author with a note (one of the following): accepted without revision, accepted after major revision, accepted after minor revision, rejected.

The review process until the final decision takes 4-8 weeks. However, the review process may take longer depending on the reviewers' responses and the review cycle. Manuscripts sent back to Journal Studies in Indonesian Language and Literature after revision may be reassigned to reviewers according to the availability of reviewers, the decision of the editor, and the number of revisions to be made.
